DescriptionUK Stroke Research Workshop 2024 Organised by the NIHR Stroke Research Specialty Group Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th September 2024 Keele Hall, Keele University Organised under the auspices of the NIHR Stroke Speciality Group and hosted by the Stroke Research Group, Keele University the 2024 UK Stroke Research Workshop is generously supported by the NIHR, British and Irish Association of Stroke Physicians and the Stroke Association. It will be held on 17th and 18th September 2024 at Keele Hall, Keele University, Stoke - on - Trent following highly successful workshops held in Cambridge, Manchester, Leicester, Sheffield and London. There will be updates on the latest stroke research including sessions on stroke in the young, developments in stroke rehabilitation, mechanisms in vascular dementia, biomarkers in stroke and controversies in acute stroke. https://www.strokeworkshop.uk/

ContactMore InformationVenue The Workshop will be held at Keele Hall, Keele University ST5 5BG Getting there: By train: The nearest train station is Stoke – on -Trent which has frequent direct services to London, Birmingham and Manchester. Taxi is the most efficient way to travel from the station and the taxi rank is found by turning left out of the main exit of the station and should take approximately 15 minutes. Alternatively you can take the number 25 bus from the stop on the other side of the road from the station exit but this does take 40 minutes! By car: Keele University Campus is between Junctions 15 and 16 on the M6, and is just west of Stoke on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme. From the north Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 16, signed A500/Alton Towers. At the motorway roundabout turn right onto the A500 for Crewe and Nantwich. The University is signed from here. At the next roundabout, go straight on the A500 (A531) and at the next one turn left onto the A531 (A525) for Keele. After approximately 7 miles, turn right at the roundabout onto campus. From the motorway junction to Keele the journey time is about 20-25 minutes. From the south Leave the M6 at Junction 15 and follow the signs for the A519 into Newcastle-under-Lyme. The University is signed from the first roundabout. Two miles out of Newcastle, turn left at the roundabout onto campus. From the motorway junction to Keele the journey time is about 15-20 minutes.
By air: The nearest airport is Manchester Airport located approximately 35 miles away. This has train services to Manchester Piccadilly when you can find regular trains to Stoke – on – Trent.
