Nosferatu Silent Film with Live Organ![]() DescriptionNosferatu – Silent Film with Live Organ Wednesday 28 October 2026 | 7:30pm Following a sold‑out performance in 2022, Nosferatu returns to Keele for a special Halloween‑week screening with acclaimed organist and composer Andy Quin. Experience Murnau’s landmark 1922 masterpiece on the big screen with a live, improvised score that brings its eerie shadows and unforgettable imagery vividly to life. A defining work of early cinema, Nosferatu remains one of the most influential horror films ever made, celebrated for Max Schreck’s chilling Count Orlok and its striking expressionist visuals. Andy Quin’s 2022 accompaniment was praised for its intensity, imagination and emotional depth, making this return performance a highlight of the autumn programme. From 7pm, Andy will also offer pre‑film improvisations on the University’s Steinway piano. Over three decades his music has appeared in Hollywood films, global advertising campaigns and countless TV programmes. A former Keele student, he began accompanying silent movies in his early teens and has since built a career spanning classical performance, jazz, composition and film scoring.
