Biography
Tilly Blyth is Professor of Museum Studies at the University of Leicester.
She has worked at the Science Museum for two decades and during this time, she was charged with leading the curatorial, research, library and archive teams whilst developing world-class galleries and temporary exhibitions.
She co-presented The Art of Innovation for BBC Radio 4 alongside Sir Ian Blatchford, Director of the Science Museum Group. The series was also accompanied by a book and exhibition of the same name.
Professor Blyth has played a major role in the acquisition of significant items for the Science Museum’s collection, including Professor Stephen Hawking’s office.
This lecture will be available in person as well as online via Microsoft Teams. For those attending in person, refreshments will be available from 5.30pm onwards. For those attending online, please register (by no later than 5.00pm on the day of the lecture) and joining instructions with further information will follow ahead of the lecture.
