As part of the EIT Health educational activities, Keele University is hosting a two-day event for students and health professionals learn the essentials of TECS. The event will explore their use for long term conditions in the UK and across Europe.

The Aging Research Center(Karolinska Institutet) will deliver a keynote session to focus on geriatric pharmacology and how to evaluate drug treatment among older people using TECS.

The event will give opportunity to explore the use of virtual and augmented reality in healthcare education at Keele University and their adoption for patient facing information resources.

Presenters across the NHS and academia will continue the theme of long term
conditions, including a case study from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid using assistive technologies and their use within the healthcare sector in Spain.

Opportunity to network with European partners working on EIT Health projects,
leading innovators implementing TECS in the NHS and an academic community of health students and professionals to encourage debate and discussion.

The main objective of EIT Health events are to deliver the knowledge, skills and
attitude that can prepare learners for creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in fields relevant to the three major challenges EIT Health seeks to address: promoting healthy living, supporting active ageing and improving healthcare.
